ONLINE: Let's Trade! Artist Trading Card Collage workshop

$0.00

Monday

August 11

5-7 pm PST

Online & recorded for participants.

Summertime is a great time for a casual evening class. Join me Monday August 11, 5-7 pm PST for an online class, exploring collage through Artist Trading Cards.

Artist Trading Cards (ATCs) are small 2 dimensional works of art about the size of a playing card. Originating as part of a conceptual art show in the late 90’s, they have historical connection to mail art and miniature art. Meant to be traded but never sold, they are an opportunity for artists to share their work in a non-commercial form. With the the rise in popularity of collage, ATCs are an excellent way to meet other artists, experiment and discover a variety of techniques.

Using easily obtained materials, we will start with an introduction to some basic approaches to collage, using examples and demonstrations plus tips and tricks for this format. There will be time to work, always with options to work quietly or socialize. Prompts will be offered freely,

Students will be encouraged to trade cards, if they choose.
