Keep Writing no. 133 May 2020
Exquisite corpse poem part 3.
This is part two of a process started with Keep Writing number 127 and 129.
I moved to Portland, COVID shut everything down, and we all tried to adjust. The exquisite corpse poem was on hold, as I was seeking studio space for printing, and awaiting a post office box. This is the first card printed on my tabletop press, that I brought with me, in my new studio space in Portland.
After reading Anis’s stanza, I chose the following line submitted by a Keep Writing Subscriber:
“And that which was wanting was now immense”
I send just this line to former poet, scholar, and professor Jenn Marie Nunes offered the final stanza.
Jenn and I met my second semester at LSU, in a book arts class taught by Blackbird Letterpress. We bonded over sweet treats and being queerdos in a football town. Not to mention her writing.
Printed with polymer plates on my tabletop Kelsey, on flurry paper from Boxcar Press.
