Keep Writing no. 119 March 2019

Request gender neutral bathrooms at a local business.

It started as a pet peeve: when there is a single bathroom assigned to one gender. As more states pushed for laws attempting to regulate who can use which bathroom, trans and non-binary folks are left attacked and without a safe place to pee.

I printed this postcard as a gentle reminder that a small business can take steps to make things more comfortable for most folks. It is an easy way to be more inclusive that is difficult to dispute. Recipients were able to send the card along to their local business, urging them to turn their single stall bathrooms to all-gender.

Printed with polymer plates on my Heidelberg Windmill, on French Paper.
