Keep Writing no. 89 August 2016
Making sense of chaos.
I was packing my house in Oakland, preparing for the move back to Louisiana. After four years, I missed my friends, the humidity, and being able to drive to see my family.
It also meant I was giving up access to the printing press I had been working with for most of my time in Oakland. It was hard, but I knew Southern Letterpress, Black Bird Letterpress, & Fitz Press weren’t going to let me down.
Inspired by a friend’s tattoo, I accepted the mess, but asked recipients to share a time of chaos and how they coped.
Letterpress printed with polymer plates on paper from French Paper Co on a borrowed Heidelberg Windmill.
