Keep Writing no. 84 March 2016
Pay attention to your surroundings for 60 seconds.
When I was in my 20’s, I had a zine called three am. One ad for it declared “SLEEP WHEN YOU’RE DEAD.” I was in my 30’s when I printed this postcard, with a Gabriel Garcia Marquez quote ”Every minute you sleep, you lose sixty seconds of light.” As I write this, I am 47 and exhausted. It is not yet six pm. I have been working too much and my new migraine medication does get rid of headaches but unfortunately, it also leaves me tired.
I loved playing with knock out text on this, and overlaying the two colors. Very fun.
Recipients to sit still for one minute and then record what they saw.
Letterpress printed with polymer plates on paper from French Paper on a borrowed Heidelberg Windmill.
